• Docusate Sodium - 50 mg 

• One teaspoonful daily
  
• Take with 6-8 oz of milk, fruit juice to prevent throat irritation
• May be taken in one single dose or in divided dose
• Take maximum dose daily until first bowel movement, dosage should then be reduced according to individual response

Adults and Children 12 years and over

• 1-6 teaspoons (50 mg -300 mg)

Keep out of Reach of Children

Do not use when

• Abdominal pain, nausea, or vomiting are present unless directed by a doctor
• For more than 1 week unless directed by a doctor
• Foil over bottle opening is torn, broken or missing

Ask a doctor before use if you

• Are taking mineral oil
• Have noticed a sudden change in bowl habits that lasts more than 2 weeks

Stop use and ask a doctor if

• You have no bowel movements within 3 days
• You have rectal bleeding 
• A skin rash occurs
• You experience throat irritation
  (These may indicate a serious condition)

If pregnant or breastfeeding

• Ask a healthcare professional before use
